I’m a therapist who believes real change starts with feeling understood and supported. I’ve worked in inpatient substance use disorder treatment, helping people through some of the most difficult moments in their lives. I’m also in recovery myself, which allows me to bring both professional training and personal understanding into the work I do.
My approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, but I keep things practical—working with clients to notice unhelpful thought patterns, reframe them, and build healthier ways of thinking and coping.
I focus a lot on helping people identify and work through their emotions, not avoid them. Learning how to regulate feelings and respond instead of react is a big part of the work we do together. I also believe coping skills are essential—they need to make sense, feel doable, and actually get used in real life, not just talked about in session.
I’ve spent a lot of time working with children and adolescents, especially around trauma and behavioral challenges. I aim to create a space where kids and teens feel comfortable being themselves while also learning how to manage big emotions and navigate tough situations. I’m also experienced in de-escalation and conflict resolution, which helps when emotions are running high—whether that’s with individuals, families, or couples.
Outside of work, I’m a mom to five young kids, so I understand firsthand how challenging (and important) emotional regulation, patience, and flexibility can be. That perspective carries into my work in a way that feels real and relatable.
Whether I’m working with kids, teens, or couples, my goal is to help people feel more confident in themselves, build stronger coping skills, and leave sessions with tools they can actually use in their everyday lives.
