Kat Hickey, M.Ed.
My work is guided by Flow to Flourish model, adapted from Applied Positive Psychology, reframing tension and disruption as doorways to resilience and self-confidence. I support clients in cultivating joy via intentionality, autonomous alignment, and flexibility — helping them adapt to life as it unfolds in real time, name and address the fears that hold them back, and move toward a more optimized, fulfilling lived experience.
I am a Pre-Licensed therapist focused on facilitating empirically supported multimodal approach including EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, and EFT-informed framework. This approach supports whole-system healing to aid clients in achieving genuine harmony and regulation with greater ease. Central to approach is compassionate accountability in which healing extends beyond the therapeutic environment and into the lives clients touch via Interpersonal Neurobiology and collective contribution.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve as adjunct faculty at Bay Path University, where I design and facilitate graduate-level courses within the MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. My integrative teaching philosophy is crafted to deepen and enrich the learning experience, as education is a pillar to the philosophy; simply…begin again.
